You may experience mild sunburn like sensation to the treated area that will subside within 24 hours. The use of a cool compress can aid in alleviating any discomfort.
Avoid hot showers, swimming pool or spa baths for 3 days following your treatment to avoid any irritation to the area.
Avoid exercise such as jogging for 24 hours following your treatment as perspiration may irritate the area.
Some redness, minor swelling or in rare cases blistering, may persist for 3-4 days after treatment. This usually resolves without intervention but you must be careful not irritate the area in any way.
It is preferable that you DO NOT SUNBAKE throughout the course of your treatments, as this makes your skin more susceptible to irritation or burn. Ensure you use a high protection sunscreen and reapply regularly.
Do not wax, tweeze or use electrolysis throughout the course of your treatments. It is important for the hair to be at the skin surface for the treatment to be effective.
Ejection is the process whereby treated, intact hair shafts are moved out and released from the base of the follicle. These hairs are not growing but simply clearing out in the first 10 to 14 days.
The timing between visits should be 5-8 weeks depending upon body area so that the largest number of hairs are in growth phase, thereby ensuring a more effective treatment. Please ensure that maximum regrowth has occurred before proceeding with your next treatment.
